Gold Canyon - Dinosaur Mountain

As a staff member here at Sonoran Suites I get out and play some of the best courses in the Phoenix metro area. In the past few weeks I have played a couple of hidden jewels that you should definitely know about when you are looking to book a Scottsdale golf vacation. The first is Gold Canyon the Dinosaur Mountain Course. You will enjoy the well-manicured fairways, dramatic elevation changes, and undulating greens. You will need to either keep the ball very straight or know where you are going to place the ball in the fairways because the desert will gobble up errant shots with no remorse. You may see the likes of bobcats, coyotes, red tail hawks, and roadrunners. The clubhouse is very accommodating and the service is great. I highly recommend requesting this course as part of your Scottsdale vacation, and make sure you have an extra roll of film for this course even though you will remember it for the rest of your life. The Scottsdale golf course that will send you reeling is called Rancho Manana. I would put these 2 courses side by side except at Rancho you are looking at about 1500 less yards, but you may only use your driver 3 or 4 times at the most. This course is all about placement and putting. As with the previous course make sure you bring your camera. You can find out much more information about the courses we offer and our Scottsdale condo accommodations at www.sonoransuites.com.
